  • How do I know if I need ACC counselling?

    If you're experiencing a history of sexual abuse, panic attacks, flashbacks, or a desire to self-isolate, ACC-funded sensitive counselling is available to support you. Reach out today to begin your healing journey.

  • How long does each counselling session last?

     Each session typically lasts between 50 to 60 minutes, allowing for comprehensive discussion and support.

  • How soon can I start?

    We aim to book your first session within three weeks, during which we will complete your initial assessment and submit it promptly to ACC.

  • Is the counselling confidential?

    Absolutely. Everything you share stays between you and your therapist.

  • Do I need to pay for ACC counselling?

    No, ACC funds the sessions completely, so there’s no cost to you.

  • How do I apply for ACC sensitive claims?

    Just phone us and we will guide you through the process, making it easy and stress-free.

  • What happens in a counselling session?

    You’ll meet with a trained therapist who will support you in processing your trauma and developing a personalised recovery plan.


     Sessions are conducted at your own pace, and you’re welcome to bring a support person or whānau along.

  • I'm worried that counselling will not help me.
